This package includes all of the activities of the first day of touring listed below, and lodging at the Abriendo Inn after dining at LaRenaissance.

Base your tour of the Frontier Pathways Byway from the Abriendo Inn Bed and Breakfast in Pueblo, Colorado. The award-winning inn, described in THE ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO FAVORITE PLACES, COLORADO’S BEST, as the best bed and breakfast for the Colorado Front Range and voted Pueblo’s Best Weekend Getaway, has a luxurious room awaiting your arrival. In addition to a full gourmet breakfast, you will have an en suite bathroom with a whirlpool tub for two, king size bed, mini refrigerator, microwave and VCR with movies available for viewing. Your package includes 2 nights lodging, 2 full gourmet breakfasts and complimentary use of the 24-hour snack/refreshment centers.

Your first day of touring will include a self-guided walking tour of the Union Avenue Historic District, where history was made with Bat Masterson, “ladies of the evening,” and the old “hanging tree” before more civilized ways came to Pueblo. Today, the Union Avenue Historic District is known for the boutiques, restaurants, art galleries and the new Riverwalk. On to the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center for viewing “Western Art Through the Decades.” In the afternoon, tour Rosemount Victorian House Museum to see how the wealthy lived in the old west. Come back to the inn, relax and have complimentary beverages and snacks before dining at LaRenaissance, written about in “Gourmet” magazine. Not only will you enjoy the five-course dinner, but also the unique atmosphere of dining in what was a church in early Pueblo.

After breakfast on the second day, you will drive to the Royal Gorge Route Railroad for a train ride through the spectacular Royal Gorge. When President Theodore Roosevelt experienced this famous train line, it was hailed as the “Scenic Line of the World.” People today are still awed by the spectacular train ride. When your train ride ends you will join the Frontier Pathways byway route and drive back to Pueblo through the beauty of the hidden Wet Mountain Valley and the charming mountain village of Westcliffe. Drive through the magnificent beauty of the Wet Mountain Valley at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, ‘the highest, straightest, longest, most continuous range of mountains on earth!” (John Fielder, photojournalist.), then on to Wetmore to dine at the Wetmore Steakhouse. Enjoy the rustic, relaxed dining and top it off with one of their wonderful homemade pies. After your dinner, head back to Pueblo for your last evening of pampered luxury at the Abriendo Inn.
